About Me

I am a 71 year-old lady who lives in Woodstock On CA. I have three wonderful children. 1 son in-law and 1 daughter in law who are just like my own. 2 grandchildren a 31-year-old grand-daughter a grandson in law and a 11-year-old grandson. Ron and I have been married 52 years. Until a major car accident 46 years ago that took my livelihood away, I was a hairdresser, make up artist and model. After listening to my hairdressing stories for the millionth times, it was strongly suggested I write about them, so I did. And so ‘A Hairdresser’s Diary’ was born. I am a self taught artist who learned to paint to help me deal with daily chronic pain. I am also a poet and have published my new poetry book ‘Versify’ on Amazon.

All my books can be purchased in soft cover and e book from Amazon,  LuLu, Nook, Kobo, Barnes and Noble. I have written  and published the sequel. “A Hairdresser’s Diary / Scissors Retired “. This new book is  filled with laughter, tears, anger and love.

Chris, I found your blog thanks to Anita at “All in the Day of Me.” Based on what I tell my hairdresser, I know you must have gleaned lots of juicy bits – ha! I’ve enjoyed poking around in your website; you are a woman of many talents.

Thank you so very much. I will have to go to Anita’s page and thank her. Lol it is truly amazing what our clients hare with us but I promise my books are not just about gossip, The sequel was written when so many of my friends, clients and family asked me to include them by name in this book. They trusted I would say nothing to hurt them. I am delighted yo found me. Come again.

I’d like to let everyone know that this inspirational woman is my Mom by marriage. I remember first meeting her I wasn’t sure how to take her genuine acceptance of me. This family is so loving and generous with support that I wish at times I grew up in it!! But marrying her son would be impossible if that were the case! LOL. Her kids have the same gumption attitude she has as well as Ron’s determination to make things work. Great parents they are and grandparents, too! I’m proud to be apart of this family and I can tell you that everything on this site from Chris is genuinely from the heart!

So glad you followed me so I could find you! I, too, have back failure from back surgeries but not all the other comorbidities although in my previous career I was a nurse so know about all of your diagnosies that way. I love that you are able to get above it with laughter. I also love that you wrote a book.

As you probably found out from my blog I wrote a children’s book called “Annie’s Special Day” that is very close to coming out in print. Right now all we have is the E Version on http://www.etreasurespublishing.com/.

I think I will probably buy your book next time I have an amazon purchase to make. (so I can get the shipping discount) Your book sounds wonderful 🙂

As a BALD man i have so few understandings of these things. My mix raced Daughter does things to her hair that will render her scalp as mine. But, as a fomer stagehand the ART of manipulating the “DOWNS” that are each race’s identifyers are an expensive industry in itself.
    Thank YOU for finding me.
